New Lake Dwellings in Unteruhldingen at Lake Constance -
SWR-Film Village of the Stone Age is being reconstructed
| During the summer of 2006, the SWR-Broadcasting company sent 13 people into the Stone Age. The village ensemble, reconstructed for the series at a pond in the hinterland of Lake Constance, consisting of three villages a village square, and stables, is planned to be reconstructed in picturesque scenery until the start of the broadcast Stone Age documentary on Pentecost day at Germany’s oldest archeological open air museum. In conjunction with this project, there will be „Stone Age Activity“ weeks during the Easter holidays and on Pentecost weekend. Visitors will learn what a person living in the 21st Century needs for a survival in the Stone Age. The Open Air Museum of the Stone and Bronze Age has been in operation since 1922. Celebrates its 85 birthday, the Museum will present many exciting events until October under the heading „Experiment Stone Age“. The events will concomitant to the great ARD-TV-Series.
